The IVORY project has been featured on the European Commission’s “30 years of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions” website, highlighted as one of the projects shaping the EU’s Mobility and Smart Cities theme. The feature showcases IVORY’s contribution to the EU’s ambition of zero road deaths by 2050, achieved through the development of fair, secure and transparent artificial intelligence for road safety.

As an industrial doctorate network, IVORY is training 15 researchers in new AI applications for vehicle assistance and road safety, with particular attention to ensuring these technologies serve vulnerable road users, including disadvantaged drivers and communities in low- and middle-income countries. The feature highlights the project’s role in nurturing a new generation of leading researchers in ethical AI for road safety.
