Two “IVORY” doctoral candidates, Ajay Iyer (DC5) and Mohammad Pashaee (DC6), presented their joint research at the Transportation Research Symposium 2025, held in Rotterdam from May 25–28, 2025.
Their presentation, titled “Driver Distraction Analysis: A Big-Data Analytics Approach Using Naturalistic Driving Data”, explored how self-reported distraction relates to driving behavior across different levels of automation. The study represents the early-stage collaboration between the two PhD projects: one focusing on distraction detection and the other on understanding the full spectrum of driver behaviour.
Their participation in the symposium highlights the IVORY Network’s commitment to academic excellence and applied impact, bridging the gap between research, technology, and policy in the pursuit of safer roads.
