Two \u201cIVORY\u201d doctoral candidates, Ajay Iyer (DC5)<\/strong> and Mohammad Pashaee (DC6)<\/strong>, presented their joint research at the Transportation Research Symposium 2025<\/strong>, held in Rotterdam from May 25\u201328, 2025.<\/p>\n Their presentation, titled \u201cDriver Distraction Analysis: A Big-Data Analytics Approach Using Naturalistic Driving Data<\/strong>\u201d, explored how self-reported distraction relates to driving behavior across different levels of automation. The study represents the early-stage collaboration between the two PhD projects: one focusing on distraction detection and the other on understanding the full spectrum of driver behaviour.<\/p>\n Their participation in the symposium highlights the IVORY Network\u2019s commitment to academic excellence and applied impact, bridging the gap between research, technology, and policy in the pursuit of safer roads.<\/p>\n
